Notes:
• Please do NOT bring knives or electronic gadgets to camp

• Day Camp includes the following activities: swimming, rafting, nature, BB guns, handicrafts, adventure trails, cooking, games, archery, campfire, family picnic, and ceremonies. Additionally, by participating in Day Camp, many achievements toward rank advancement requirements can be completed or partially completed.

• Each Scout will receive a patch for attending summer camp.

• There is a trading post in camp, so that camp T-shirts, snacks, drinks, and souvenirs can be purchased.

• There are many water fountains available throughout Camp Belzer; however, if the weather is extremely hot/humid that week, you may want to send a water bottle with your son (including something to carry it in).

• The camp program will be conducted Rain-or-Shine. There are several shelters throughout camp and the staff is prepared to deliver the program during inclement weather. If it thunderstorms in the late afternoon, the chaperones may decide to return to the school early.

• Please have your son dressed in weather appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes. There will be plenty of walking; however, hiking boots are not necessary.
Please note that NO SANDALS, CROKS, OR OPEN-TOE SHOES ARE ALLOWED AT CAMP.

• Pack leadership will attempt to have a cooler for lunches each day, but it is recommended that you pack "stable" lunches. Please don't go overboard on quantity (especially on extra hot days) - you'd be surprised how much food we throw away each day!

• Most parents like to pack their son’s belongings in a book-bag. Please make sure that bags, water bottles, etc are marked with your son’s name or initials.

• For parents attending camp each day, you may bring your other child(ren) with you (a.k.a. tag-a-longs) and they can participate in the program for an additional fee of $5.00 (and a health form must be signed and turned in). Tag-a-longs will not be allowed to participate in the BB guns, archery, and rafting.

• Family night is on Friday at the end of that day's program. For the Family Picnic, the Pack will be providing hotdogs (including buns and condiments). Families should bring side dishes to share. Families should bring their own drinks and flatware (i.e. plates and silverware). Please remember that chaperones will need to bring stable items (chips, cookies, etc), so if you are not at camp that day, please bring cooked items.

• If you will not be attending the Overnighter Friday evening, you will be finished by 8:30pm.

• Scouts attending the Overnighter MUST be accompanied by a parent/guardian (NO EXCEPTIONS).

• Health forms should have already been turned in. If you have not yet submitted your son's health form, please ensure that you bring one the first day of camp. Indiana law requires that all medications be turned in to the camp health officer, so the camp can control and dispense them. The medication should be in it's original container, including the Scout's name, Pack number, and dosage instructions.

• Indiana Law requires a child under the age of 8 ride in a booster / car seat. While car pooling, each parent is responsible to have a car seat for their own child, the Pack can not provide them. Please don’t ask chaperones to break the law for which everyone can later regret.

• Scouts need to wear their pack T-shirts daily.
